Stewart Avenue Lutheran Church Food Pantry has been actively addressing food insecurity in the local community since the 1980s.

Initially established within the church by a compassionate parishioner, our initiative has grown significantly over the years. Today, we organize monthly food distributions offering a variety of essential items such as shelf-stable foods, produce, meats, and toiletries. This endeavor is made possible by our dedicated team of volunteers, who selflessly serve our neighbors residing in Carrick, Brentwood, and Baldwin.

The Stewart Avenue Food Pantry is open to the community every 3rd Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 am.

Members of the Carrick, Brentwood, and Baldwin communities are welcome to come and receive fresh vegetables, meats, and non-perishable items. Because of our collaboration with the Hunger Services Network for referrals and screening, clients must meet the Federal Government Guidelines for poverty in need.

Youth Programs

We offer a range of exclusive annual programs designed specifically for the children of our clients.

These programs encompass various initiatives such as providing back-to-school supplies, organizing Christmas gifts for children aged 12 and under, hosting a Santa Shop for the kids, and distributing Bunny Bags ahead of Easter.

Throughout the year, we have programs that offer supplementary items like books, scarves, hats, socks, and more, which are made available based on generous contributions from community drives.
